Did you know the BYU NMSA is run by a board of your fellow students?
Take some time to get to know our beloved Vice President, Brandon Garcia!
Hometown: Nacogdoches, Texas
Major: Molecular Biology
How long have you been on the board? Two Years
What’s one food you would like to try? Authentic Italian food
Do you have a favorite place or language?
Obviously my favorite place is Texas, but of the places I have travelled Seattle and San Diego have been my favorites.
What is something about yourself that you are proud of?
I am most proud of being able to see the NMSA really grow over the past two years. It has been an amazing transformation to see! People are much more engaged and we now have some solid leadership that will be sticking around for a while. I cannot wait to check with what's going on over the next few years.
What have you gained from being a member of the BYU NMSA board?
My leadership skills have grown tremendously by being on the board and so has my patience. It hasn't been easy to step back and let other people help build our student organization. However, I have been absolutely amazed with the results! Being on the board really helped me to develop faith in the abilities of others.
Have anything in common with our VP?
Look out for more spotlights of our other board members coming soon!
